Bring the beauty of a French summer garden to the breakfast table with the colorful Jardin d’été Egg Cup, handmade and hand-painted in Quimper, Brittany, France.
Meaning “summer garden” in French, Jardin d’été is a cheerful pattern inspired by flowers in bloom and the relaxed beauty of the French countryside. Its lively colors and expressive hand-painted details make this charming egg cup a delightful addition to breakfast or brunch.
Perfect for serving a soft-boiled egg, the Jardin d’été Egg Cup turns an everyday breakfast into something special. It can also be used decoratively to display a stone egg, painted egg, or other small collectible.
Its colorful garden-inspired decoration makes it especially lovely for spring and summer breakfasts, Easter tables, garden parties, outdoor entertaining, and French country kitchens. It also makes a charming gift for a gardener, Quimper collector, Francophile, or anyone who loves French pottery.
Quimper’s remarkable tradition of faience pottery dates back to 1690. For more than three centuries, generations of artisans have preserved the art of creating and decorating pottery by hand in this historic Breton town.
Each Jardin d’été Egg Cup is individually hand-painted by a skilled artist. Subtle variations in the flowers, colors and brushwork give every piece its own character and are part of the beauty of authentic Quimper pottery.
Whether enjoyed at breakfast, incorporated into a beautiful spring table, or displayed as part of a Quimper collection, the Jardin d’été Egg Cup brings the cheerful color of a French summer garden and the centuries-old artistry of Quimper faience into the home.
