Bring the timeless charm of Brittany to the breakfast table with the Henriot Woman Egg Cup, handmade and hand-painted in Quimper, Brittany, France.
Featuring the classic Henriot Woman dressed in traditional Breton costume, this charming egg cup celebrates one of the most recognizable figures in traditional Quimper pottery. Her colorful regional dress and expressive hand-painted details capture the distinctive folk-art character that has made Quimper faience treasured by collectors for generations.
Perfect for serving a soft-boiled egg, the Henriot Woman Egg Cup adds a delightful French touch to breakfast or brunch. It can also be used decoratively to display a stone egg, painted egg, or other small collectible.
Its traditional Breton design makes it especially appealing for a French country kitchen, breakfast table, china cabinet, or Quimper pottery collection. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a Quimper collector, Francophile, or anyone with a love of Brittany and traditional French craftsmanship.
Quimper’s remarkable tradition of faience pottery dates back to 1690. For more than three centuries, generations of artisans have preserved the art of creating and decorating pottery by hand in this historic Breton town.
Each Henriot Woman Egg Cup is individually hand-painted by a skilled artist from start to finish. Subtle variations in the figure, colors and brushwork give every piece its own individual character and are part of the beauty of authentic Quimper pottery.
Display the Henriot Woman Egg Cup on its own or pair it with the Henriot Man Egg Cup to create a charming Breton couple. Together, they bring the heritage, color, and centuries-old artistry of Quimper faience to the breakfast table.
