Bring one of the most recognizable traditions of Quimper pottery to the breakfast table with the Henriot Man Egg Cup, handmade and hand-painted in Quimper, Brittany, France.
Featuring the classic Henriot Man dressed in traditional Breton costume, this charming egg cup celebrates one of the most popular and best-known motifs in Quimper pottery. The colorful Breton figure and expressive hand-painted details give the piece the distinctive folk-art character that has made Quimper faience treasured by collectors for generations.
Perfect for serving a soft-boiled egg, the Henriot Man Egg Cup adds a delightful touch of Brittany to breakfast or brunch. It can also be used decoratively to display a stone egg, painted egg, or other small collectible.
Its traditional Breton design makes it especially appealing for a French country kitchen, breakfast table, china cabinet, or Quimper pottery collection. It also makes a wonderful gift for a Quimper collector, Francophile, or anyone with a love of Brittany and traditional French craftsmanship.
Quimper’s remarkable tradition of faience pottery dates back to 1690. For more than three centuries, generations of artisans have preserved the art of creating and decorating pottery by hand in this historic Breton town.
Each Henriot Man Egg Cup is individually hand-painted by a skilled artist from start to finish. Subtle variations in the figure, colors and brushwork give every piece its own character and are part of the beauty of authentic Quimper pottery.
Whether enjoyed at breakfast or displayed as part of a collection, the Henriot Man Egg Cup brings together everyday function, Breton heritage, and the centuries-old artistry of Quimper faience.
