Decorated in the classic Henriot pattern, this whimsical duck-shaped egg cup features the traditional Breton figure that has become one of the best-known and most beloved motifs in Quimper pottery. Its colorful hand-painted decoration combines Breton folk art with the distinctive craftsmanship for which Quimper faience is renowned.

Quimper’s remarkable tradition of faience pottery dates back to 1690. For more than three centuries, generations of artisans have preserved the art of creating and decorating pottery by hand in this historic Breton town.
Each Henriot Duck Egg Cup is individually hand-painted by a skilled artist from start to finish. Subtle variations in the figure, colors and brushwork give every piece its own character and are part of the beauty of authentic Quimper pottery.
