Bright, fresh and distinctly French, the Quimper Touch Coffee Mug brings a contemporary interpretation of centuries-old Quimper artistry to your morning coffee.
Handmade and hand-painted in Quimper, Brittany, France, this generously sized 16-ounce mug showcases the expressive brushwork known as the “Quimper Paint Touch.” The colorful, free-flowing decoration gives the mug a fresh and modern personality while remaining unmistakably Quimper.
Perfect for a generous cup of morning coffee, café au lait, tea, or hot chocolate, the Quimper Touch Mug is designed to be enjoyed every day. Its cheerful colors bring a little of the French countryside—and the artistry of Brittany—to breakfast, afternoon coffee, or a leisurely weekend morning.
Quimper’s remarkable tradition of faience pottery dates back to 1690. For more than three centuries, generations of artisans have preserved the tradition of creating and decorating pottery by hand in Quimper. Today, that heritage continues not only through the classic Breton patterns for which Quimper is famous, but also through fresh designs such as Quimper Touch.
Each piece of Quimper faience is completely handmade and individually hand-painted by a skilled artist from start to finish. The artist signs the finished piece and marks it Henriot, helping authenticate its origin.
Because every mug is painted entirely by hand, subtle variations in color, brushwork and decorative details are part of the beauty of genuine Quimper pottery. No two pieces are exactly alike.
Whether filled with your first coffee of the morning or a leisurely afternoon café au lait, the Quimper Touch Coffee Mug combines contemporary French style with more than three centuries of Quimper pottery tradition.
