Bring a beloved Breton tradition to your table with this charming Camaïeu Pink Cider Bowl, or Bolée, handmade and hand-painted by Henriot Quimper in Brittany, France.
In Brittany, cider is traditionally served not in a glass, but in a small bowl known as a bolée. These distinctive cider bowls are a familiar sight in Breton crêperies, where local cider is enjoyed alongside galettes—the savory buckwheat crêpes for which Brittany is famous.
Decorated in the delicate Camaïeu Pink palette, this authentic Quimper bolée gives the traditional Breton cider cup a soft and elegant character. Its beautiful monochromatic pink decoration makes it equally appealing for a French-inspired table, a Quimper pottery collection, or simply as a charming reminder of Brittany.
And cider isn't its only use. A bolée is also delightful for café au lait or cappuccino, bringing a little French café tradition to your morning routine.
Quimper’s remarkable tradition of faience pottery dates back to 1690. For more than three centuries, generations of artisans have preserved the art of creating and decorating pottery by hand in Quimper, Brittany.
Each piece of Henriot Quimper faience is completely handmade and individually hand-painted by a skilled artist from start to finish. The artist signs the finished piece and marks it Henriot, helping authenticate its origin. Because every bolée is painted by hand, subtle variations in color and brushwork make each piece unique.
Whether filled with Breton cider, café au lait or cappuccino, the Camaïeu Pink Bolée brings an authentic taste of Brittany—and more than three centuries of Quimper pottery tradition—to your table.
