The Quimper Touch pattern celebrates the expressive hand-painted brushwork for which Quimper pottery is renowned. Its combination of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary style makes it a versatile accent for both classic and modern interiors.
The tradition of Quimper pottery dates to 1690, when faience production began in the historic Locmaria district of Quimper, Brittany. For more than three centuries, Quimper has become celebrated for its distinctive hand-painted pottery and the generations of skilled artisans who have preserved this remarkable French ceramic tradition.
Each piece of Quimper pottery is individually handcrafted and hand-painted in Quimper, giving it the distinctive character for which authentic Quimper faience is known. Subtle variations in color and brushwork are part of the artisan process and ensure that each piece is truly unique.
